Finally... the opening night. It was a great evening with big thanks to the amazing Joanne O'Riordan who acted as MC and was incredible. Joanne is one of seven people in the world born with Tetra-amelia - in other words, born without limbs. An incredible girl (read more here). I was delighted to have the Rubber Bandits performing 'Black Man' for the grand finale! A few weeks ago I made a video with the Irish football team which we are now cutting and will be screening tomorrow night as part of the European Powerchair Championship opening night ceremony. This is David Forde - goalkeeper for Ireland and Millwall. Watch the video here

Filming with the immensely talented Rubber Bandits - Limerick's pride and joy! They became famous for their video 'Horse Outside' see here and have made many great videos since but my personal favourite is 'Spastic Hawk' - a truly amazing piece and totally anarchic, in the best way see here .

I'm directing the opening ceremony for the European Powerchair Football Championships which kicks-off on Thursday here in Limerick. It will be a mixture of live performance and video pieces. I've been coming to Limerick nearly every week for the past two or three months and I really like the place. Great people and a lot of talent.

Great day at Leixlip Castle for my step-son Patrick's wedding to Michelle. Managed to get a panorama of everyone though it's a little hard to see who's who at this size!

Delighted to have caught the last night of this rarely performed Sean O'Casey play at the National Theatre, London. I've been wanting to see it for a long time and this is a wonderful production.

Working on post with Brian Dowling at BDImages. Sometimes I look at pictures I've shot on digital and wish I had shot them on film. Digital is just too sharp, too hard edged and sometimes it can be hard to take that off in the post though this series shot with Lauren English seems to be working out well.

I'm glad I'm not a passport photographer. It took three separate sessions to get these pictures. At least now the girls will be able to go on their summer holiday.
