Hackett (part 2)
30 Mar 13
Here's another spread from one of the Hackett albums. These images were shot in Kenya. All the prints were handmade. I remember spending a couple of weeks in London making the prints and soaking them in various baths of tea and coffee, and experimenting with other ways of staining. Once we've finished photographing these albums I will put them up on the website project page.
Hackett
29 Mar 13
Just been photographing some of the Hackett photo albums I made with Jeffrey Miller back in the mid-Eighties. This was a limited edition of approx 200 handmade photo albums - in three different sizes - that we produced for Hackett. Picture above is from one of the large size albums which had four pictures on a page. Every single album was different. We shot in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Kenya and Yosemite National Park, California. Wonderful project. Shame the few albums I had were all nicked!
Miss Lily's, NYC
28 Mar 13
Only just discovering Miss Lily's - purveyor of all things Jamaican - on Houston and Sullivan, having had dinner there last night. Great food in the restaurant, great juices in the bake shop/Melvin's juice box and cds, t-shirts, books etc in the shop. Plus in-house DJ Max Glazer. Here's a picture of Sista Natty with a copy of Bunny Yeager's 'Camera in Jamaica'.
